Direct4Pet and Radio 1’s Tour De Dance For Comic Relief

This week Harriet, one of our Product Managers, and Kate, one of our Customer Service Supervisors, headed down to Liverpool city centre to take part In Radio 1’s Tour de dance to raise money for Comic Relief. This year Radio 1’s DJ, Arielle Free, had the task of cycling for 50 hours, across 5 cities in 5 days whilst DJing live.

This challenge was for Comic Relief and Red Nose Day to help raise money to support people struggling with mental health problems, the cost-of-living crisis, food poverty and more across the UK and the world. If you want to read more about where the money donated goes or more about the Red Nose Day challenge then click here.

Regardless of the snowy and cold conditions Harriet and Kate were excited to take part in such an amazing challenge to raise money for comic relief. They headed down kitted out in waterproofs and gloves and even managed to take a quick photo with Radio 1’s DJ, Jordan North, who had also just taken part in the challenge himself.

They then spent the next 90 mins cycling round Liverpool City Centre and The Albert Dock with Arielle Free, who was of course DJing non-stop, DJ Charley Hedges and other Liverpool and Radio 1 fans to help complete the challenge.

Here at Direct4Pet we are so proud of the girls taking time out to help raise money for such an incredible cause. If you would like to donate to Comic Relief then follow the link here.

Well done to Arielle Free at Radio 1 for, as of now, raising more than £500,000 for Comic Relief.
