What is the best flea treatment for dogs?
The best flea treatment for dogs depends on how old your dog is and whether they have any other medical conditions or health issues. Most flea treatments are suitable for most dogs but it is always a good idea to double check that the one you choose is best for your pup. Some of the best flea treatments for dogs that we recommend are from popular brands such as, Advantage, Virbac, Frontline and Beaphar.
How long does it take for flea treatment to work on dogs?
Depending on the type of flea treatment you use, the amount of time it takes for the treatment to work may vary however, most flea treatments work to kill fleas within 12 hours of application. Most flea treatments will continue to kill fleas for up to 24 hours and protect your dog for 4 weeks after the initial application.
How often should I flea my dog?
Most vets recommend that you should flea your dog once per month in order to keep any persistent pests at bay. All flea treatments can vary in how often they should be used therefore, we advise that you read the instructions on the specific flea treatment you use to make sure you give the correct dose and frequency to your dog.
