Eat Temari Turnip raw when young, or cooked when mature. This turnip is a Japanese type of salad turnip with a lovely mild flavour. It's suitable for growing in pots as well as in vegetable beds.
These attractive red and white salad turnips are approximately 5-10cm in diameter. They have a pure white succulent roots accompanied by tasty red roots with a white blushed inner flesh.

Sow thinly, 1 cm deep directly where they are to crop, in rows 30 cm apart. When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to 20 cm apart. Keep soil moist at all stages of growth to prevent roots becoming woody.
Advice
Pick when small and young for the best flavour. Turnips do best in well-dug soil with consistent moisture.
