- Use for companion planting
Sow: Feb to Apr
Flowering: Jun to Sep
Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in a warm spot at 15–20°C and keep moist.
Growing On / Planting Out
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shaded from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out when the danger of frost has passed. Allow 20cm between plants.
Advice
Plant some Tagetes among your vegetable garden as they help deter flies from your crops.
