Unwins Sweetcorn Strong Star F1 Seeds are a super-sweet variety that can be sown indoors or outdoors between the months of March and May and harvested between August and September.
An F1 Hybrid, these corns have been expertly bred to be deliciously sweet and easy to pick. Try roasting on the BBQ or boiling and smothering in butter.

Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds individually in small pots of moist seed compost, 2.5 cm deep. Keep in warmth (15–18 °C) and grow under cool, light conditions, avoiding direct sunlight.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually acclimate seedlings to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out after the last frost. Plant in blocks for good pollination, spacing 45 cm apart.
Sowing Outdoors
Water the soil well. Sow two seeds 2.5 cm deep at stations 45 cm apart. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established. When seedlings reach ~8 cm, remove the weaker one at each station.

Use fleece if frost is likely. Harvest when the silks on the cobs turn brown. Strong Star typically produces two large, early-maturing cobs per plant.
