Sweetcorn Mirai Picnic F1 seeds are an exceptionally succulent and sweet variety of corn. Mirai sweetcorn performs well in the UK climate, flexible to being both indoors and outdoors.
Typically produces two flavoursome medium-sized cobs per plant. Ideal for the barbeque but equally delicious eaten raw.

Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds individually in small pots of moist seed compost, 2.5 cm deep. Keep in warmth (15–18 °C) and grow under cool, light conditions, avoiding direct sunlight.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually acclimate seedlings to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out after the last frost. Plant in blocks for good pollination, spacing 45 cm apart.
Sowing Outdoors
Water the soil well. Sow two seeds 2.5 cm deep at stations 45 cm apart. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established. When seedlings reach ~8 cm, remove the weaker one at each station.
Advice
For best results, sow indoors in mid- to late April and plant out in mid-May. Use fleece if frost is likely. Harvest when silks on the cob turn brown. Typically two medium-sized cobs per plant (~15 cm), delicious raw or cooked.
