Product Details
Unwins Strawberry Grandian F1 Seeds produce sweet, deep red fruits.
These large strawberries are full of flavour. When sown on time, fruits can be produced in the first year.
Sow: Feb to Apr
Harvest: Jun to Sep
Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds individually in module trays and cover with a very thin layer of compost. Place in warmth (10–15°C) and keep moist. Keep seedlings in a bright position but shaded from strong sun.
Planting Out
When plants reach 10 cm, gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out from April. Allow 30 cm between plants in the ground; spacing can be closer in baskets or containers.
Advice
Strawberry seeds may take several weeks to germinate—this is normal. Avoid overwatering during germination. For best results, sow all seeds at the same time and plant as a group.
