Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds individually on their edges in small pots of moist seed compost, 2cm deep. Place in warmth (15–18°C) and cover the pots with cling film until seedlings emerge. Grow on under cool, light conditions.
Planting Out
Gradually accustom young plants to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out to their cropping position once danger of frost has passed. Allow 90cm between plants.
Sowing Outdoors
Water sowing positions well, then sow 2–3 seeds close together in a group, 2cm deep. Allow 90cm between groups. After germination, leave only the strongest seedlings in each group.
Advice
Once the fruits begin to swell, feed regularly with a liquid tomato feed and keep well watered.
