Unwins Lettuce Baby Leaf Mix Seeds are the perfect way to grow a mixture of varieties in a container if you are limited for space.
These Baby Leaf Lettuces are easy to grow and give a great blend of colour and flavour for adding into summer salads. They also have a long cropping period from May to October so you can enjoy this fresh, crisp healthy crop for longer.
Sow: March to August

Quick to Grow
Sowing Indoors
Sow thinly, 1 cm deep, in clean trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost. Place in warmth (10–15 °C) and keep moist at all times.
Planting Out
After the risk of frost has passed and when large enough to handle, transplant to final positions, spacing 10 cm apart with 30 cm between rows.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly, 1 cm deep, directly in the harvest position. Keep the soil moist at all times and thin seedlings to about 10 cm apart.
Advice
Keep well watered and make small sowings every 3 weeks for a continuous supply. Use netting to protect from birds and insects.
