Unwins Rocket Voyager Seeds produce serrated, dark green rocket leaves. With delicious, punchy flavour, these rocket leaves will provide plenty of flavour in your salads.
A slow-bolting variety, these are easy to grow, quick-cropping and ideal for containers.
Sow: March to September
Harvest: May to October
Sowing
Sow seeds thinly in a shallow pre-watered row, lightly covering with a little soil. Keep soil moist, as dry conditions impair germination. Small sowings made every 3 weeks through the summer will ensure a continuous supply. Allow 20cm between rows.
Thinning
Thin seedlings to about 15cm apart when large enough to handle. Ensure remaining seedlings are still firm in the soil.
Aftercare
Water plants generously in dry weather.
Advice
Pick when large enough to use; frequent picking will give a longer cropping period. Try mixing with baby spinach leaves and herbs for an aromatic salad.
