Unwins Perovskia Bluesette produces beautiful blue, fragrant flowers that are brilliant at attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators. These lovely shrubs have a long flowering period so you can enjoy their blooms for longer.
These plants are equally suited to growing in flowers borders or in pots and containers on a patio.

Sow Indoors: Feb to May, Aug to Sep
Sow Outdoors: Jun to Oct
Sowing
Level fill a module seed tray firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds thinly and cover with a thin layer of fine compost or vermiculite. Leave in a warm room, around 20°C and keep moist.
Growing On
Once the seeds have germinated, move to a slightly cooler spot (10-15°C). When large enough to handle, transplant individually to 8 cm pots of potting compost.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 45 cm between plants if planting into the garden. Alternatively, plant into a patio container, minimum 30 cm diameter. Prefers a sunny spot in well-drained soil. Water well in dry weather, especially while establishing.
Advice
Early sowings will flower the same year; later sowings will bloom earlier the following year.
