Unwins Chilli Pepper Orange Habanero Seeds produce an abundance of extremely hot chillies. BUT, only 2 in every 10 fruits are hot so they are perfect for a game of chilli roulette!
These chilli peppers are one of the easiest habaneros to grow and you can watch them ripen from green to vibrant orange. If you are looking for a milder flavour, pick them when young and green and add to your favourite dishes.

Sow: Feb to Apr
Harvest: Jul to Oct
Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module seed tray, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually and cover with a thin layer of fine compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18–25 °C or cover tray with cling film in a warm room. Keep moist.
Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from direct sunlight. When plants have 4–6 leaves, transplant to 8 cm pots of potting compost. Maintain a minimum temperature of 15 °C. Pinch growing tips to encourage bushy growth.
Planting Out
Plant into 25 cm containers once roots begin to come through the bottom of the 8 cm pot. Keep indoors on a windowsill, in a greenhouse, or a sunny sheltered patio spot. Stems may need support.
Aftercare
Water regularly and feed weekly with a liquid tomato fertiliser as fruits start to swell.

Wear gloves and eye protection when handling this extra-hot variety. Wash hands thoroughly and avoid touching your eyes.
