Product Details
A high-yielding variety with a long cropping period, showing strong resistance to pests, disease, and stress.
Stress and disease tolerant – Long cropping season
Sow: March to June
Harvest: June to September
Sow Outdoors
Make a flat-bottomed drill 5 cm deep and 15 cm wide, and water well. Sow seeds 5 cm deep and approximately 7.5 cm apart in a zigzag pattern. Backfill with soil and firm gently. Allow about 60 cm between rows.
Support
As plants grow, support with netting or pea sticks.
Aftercare
Protect emerging shoots from birds using small twigs. Keep the soil around the base of the plants well watered, avoiding wetting the leaves. Sow regularly for continuous crops.
Advice
For an earlier start, sow seeds indoors in late winter and plant out when seedlings are about 20 cm tall and acclimatised to outdoor conditions. For early outdoor sowings, warm the soil first under a cloche or polythene if needed. Pick pods regularly.
