Unwins Early Pea Half Pint Seeds grow into a wonderful shelling pea plant. Ideal for pots and small spaces. And although dwarf in stature, Half Pint still produces full-sized pods containing six peas.
They are quick to grow and very easy to harvest. Half Pint also show excellent cold resistance down to -6°C (20°F).

Sow: March to June
Harvest: June to September
Sow Outdoors / In Containers
Make a flat-bottomed drill 5 cm deep and 15 cm wide, and water it well. Sow seeds approximately 7.5 cm apart in a zigzag pattern. Backfill with soil and firm gently. Alternatively, sow directly into containers, slowly acclimatising seedlings to outdoor conditions and placing them outside once the risk of frost has passed.
Growing On
Grow shoots coolly and steadily, maintaining a minimum temperature of 10°C.
Advice
Keep plants well watered, particularly during dry spells. Protect emerging shoots from birds using twigs. This dwarf variety does not require supporting canes.
