Pansy Clear Crystals Mix

Unwins Pansy Clear Crystals Mix Seeds produce biennial large pansies in a mix of solid colours.

These flowers are suitable for bedding and containers, and grow best in sun or partial shade. The edible petals add great colour to salads.

Sow: Feb to Aug
Flowering: Jan to Sep

Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth 10 - 15°C and keep moist. Higher temperatures may inhibit germination.

Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost.

Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2 to 3 weeks before planting out. Allow 15 cm between plants.

Flowering Time
January to September, depending on when sown. Best grown as biennials, flowering the year after sowings made May to August. Can also be treated as half-hardy annuals to flower the same year from sowings made February to May.
