Sow: February to April
Flowering: June to September
Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth, 10–15 °C, and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out when the danger of frost has passed. Allow 25 cm between plants.
Aftercare
Water regularly, especially in warm weather. Feed fortnightly when flowering and remove dead flowers to prolong the display.
