Product Details
Fleuroselect gold medal winner. This Lobelia is the first grown from seed with the vigour of vegetative varieties. It has beautiful, eye-catching colour and is perfect for pots and low-maintenance gardening.
Sow: January to March
Flowering: June to October
Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and do not cover them. Place in the warmth, 15–20 °C, and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost. It is easier to transplant small clumps of Lobelia seedlings than single seedlings.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out when the danger of frost has passed.
Advice
When planting into the final growing position, do not separate the clumps of seedlings. Lobelia looks best planted en masse.
