Product Details
Little Growers Sunflower Sunshine Giant Seeds produce large flowers that are great fun to grow.
Why not have a competition with your friends to see who can grow the tallest Sunshine Giant? They can easily grow to 2 metres, and some grow much taller! When the plants have finished flowering, leave them in the garden as the seed heads make great bird feeders. You could count how many types of birds feed from your sunflower heads.
When to sow
April - June
Where to sow
Straight into the soil about 3cm deep, from May. Soak the soil with water as soon as you have sown the seeds. Seedlings should appear about two or three weeks later.
Remember
Keep them watered. You can also sow the seeds in little pots of seed compost from April and plant them out in the garden from May when they are a few centimetres high. Your Sunshine Giants should flower for most of the summer.
Flowering Time
July - September
