Product Details
There's nothing like picking your own strawberries and eating them fresh. Tasty on their own, they're also great with ice cream and breakast cereals or try making a cheeky strawberry and cream sandwich. Delicious!!
When to sow
February to April
Where to sow
Sow seeds individually in compost in 8cm pots and cover with a very thin layer of compost. Place on a windowsill but not in direct sun, keep just moist (not wet) and be patient for a few weeks as they start to grow. When plants are about 10cm tall, slowly get them used to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting in the garden from April onwards. Allow 30cm between plants in the ground, or closer in hanging baskets or pots.
Remember
Keep them watered especially in very warm weather.
Harvest
June - August
