Sowing
Sow thinly 1 cm deep in trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost and cover lightly if desired. Place in a warm spot at 10–15 °C and keep moist at all times.
Growing On / Planting Out
After the risk of frost has passed, plant seedlings into the harvest position 25 cm apart, with 30 cm between rows, when plants have 3–4 true leaves. Alternatively, sow thinly 1 cm deep directly in the harvest location. Keep soil moist and thin to 25 cm apart.

Keep well watered. Small sowings every 3 weeks will ensure a continuous supply. Use netting to protect from birds and insects. This large-headed, Iceberg-type variety shows good disease resistance, has crisp, crunchy leaves, is bolt-resistant, and holds well both in the garden and in the fridge when picked.
