Unwins Lavender Bandera Pink have a compact habit and are great for sunny patios and borders. Lavender is a natural insect repellent, especially for ants, so can be very useful for gardeners looking to repel ants from their garden!
They are an eye-catching variety with distinctive wings (bracts) atop fragrant flower heads throughout summer. They have plump pink flowerheads topped with soft pin feathery bracts and fragrant silver green foliage.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Alternatively, sow seeds in a module tray. Place in warmth, 15–20 °C, and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost, or individually into 8 cm pots.
Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out from early summer onwards. Allow 35 cm between plants.
Aftercare
Trim back after flowering to maintain a compact habit.
Advice
Early sowings will flower for the first time in the same year as sowing.
