Features
An eye-catching variety with its distinctive ‘wings’ atop fragrant flower heads throughout summer. Compact habit, ideal for sunny patios and borders. RHS Pollinator variety.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Alternatively, sow seeds in a module tray. Place in warmth, 15–20 °C, and keep moist.

Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost, or individually into 8 cm pots.

Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out from early summer onwards. Allow 35 cm between plants.

Aftercare
Trim back after flowering to maintain a compact habit.

Advice
Early sowings will flower for the first time in the same year as sowing.
