Product Details
Unwins Garden Mint Seeds produce a valuable perennial herb that is ideal for growing in pots and containers.
Mint is one of the most widely grown and used of all herbs and is great for adding in a wide range of dishes as well as drinks.
Harvest: May to September
Sowing
Sow thinly 1 cm deep in clean trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost. Place in a warm environment at 10–15 °C and keep moist at all times.
Planting Out / Sowing Outdoors
After the risk of frost has passed, plant seedlings into the required harvest position 25 cm apart with 30 cm between rows, when plants have 3–4 true leaves. Alternatively, sow thinly 1 cm deep directly in the harvest location. Keep soil moist and thin seedlings to 25 cm apart.
Advice
Keep well watered. Make small sowings every 3 weeks to ensure a continuous supply. Use netting to protect from birds and insects.
