Sowing
Sow in well-drained, weed-free soil that has been raked to a fine tilth. Choose a sunny position and lightly cover seeds with a thin layer of soil. Water as needed until seedlings are established.
Thinning
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 40 cm apart.

Borage has a cucumber-like flavor, ideal for summer drinks. Although it is an annual, it will often self-seed, producing plants the following year.
