Unwins Gypsophila Covent Garden Seeds are an easy to grow and quick to flower hardy annual. These elegant, pure white flowers are also known as baby's breath.
The delicate blooms are perfect for cut flowers and are a wonderful addition to a floral display.

Sow: March to May, August to October

Sowing
Rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered soil, lightly covering them with a little more soil. Sowings made in semi-circular lines create a natural ‘drift’ effect. Keep moist until seedlings appear and water as required during dry spells.
Thinning
When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to allow proper development and prevent overcrowding.
Advice / Aftercare
Early spring and late summer/autumn-sown seedlings will benefit from cloche or fleece protection when hard frosts threaten, or can be started off in pots in a cold greenhouse.
