Unwins Gaillardia Summer Fire Seeds produce masses of large daisy-like flowers to add a vibrant colour splash to borders, pots or containers.
With a deep red centre and yellow tips, each bloom will measure up to 10cm across. They will create an eye catching display but also great for cutting and brightening up the home.

Sow: February to June
Flowering: July to September
Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in a warm position at 10–15 °C and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out from early summer onwards. Space plants 30 cm apart.
Advice
Early sowings will flower in the same year as sowing. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage more blooms.
