Unwins Foxglove Excelsior Mix Seeds create imposing flower spikes of bell shaped flowers in an array of pinks, whites, creams and purple flowers that spiral around their stems in early summer.
Excelsior Mix is ideal for planting around trees and shrubs as well as at the back of borders. They also make a great cut flower. This mix will certainly bring a summer garden to life!

Sow: May to July
Flowering: July to September
Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in a warm position at 10–15 °C and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out during autumn. This allows young plants to establish before winter. Space plants 30 cm apart.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow in short, shallow, pre-watered rows in sun or moderate shade. Lightly cover with a little soil and keep moist until seedlings emerge. Thin to 2 cm apart when large enough to handle before transplanting to permanent positions.

Toxic if eaten.
