  • Attract pollinators
  • Antique faded blooms
Sow: March to April
Flowering: July to October

Sowing
Level fill a tray with seed compost, firming with the base of another tray. Water well using a fine rose. Scatter seeds thinly and lightly cover with vermiculite or a little more compost. Place in a propagator at 18–25 °C, or cover tray with cling film and leave in a warm room.

Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into small pots or module trays. Maintain a minimum temperature of 10 °C.

Hardening Off/Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out when risk of frost has passed. Allow 30 cm between plants. Water well until established.

Aftercare
Water generously, especially during warm periods. Feed regularly during the flowering season. Deadhead faded blooms to prolong flowering.
