Product Details

Unwins Cobaea Cathedral Bells Seeds produce half-hardy annual, bell-shaped blooms that look like cups and saucers.

These fast-growing, self twining climbers are ideal for covering fences. They prefer a sunny, sheltered location where they will thrive in moist soil in the autumn.

Sow: February to April
Flowering: July to October

Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth, 15–25 °C, and keep moist.

Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings individually into 8 cm pots of all-purpose compost.

Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out once the danger of frost has passed. Allow 60 cm between plants.

Aftercare / Advice
Prefers a sunny position and needs full sun to thrive. Provide sturdy supports for climbing and water regularly during dry spells.
