Unwins Cauliflower Skywalker F1 Seeds are an autumn harvest variety. These cauliflowers have dense, white, well-protected curds. This variety is especially cold-tolerant, with the tight, well-wrapped heads providing protection from the worst of the cold weather.
Skywalker tolerates cold weather and keeps its texture well when cooked. An RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, this is a reliable variety for your veg patch or allotment, producing a uniform crop.

Harvest: Aug to Oct
Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module tray with seed compost, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually, covering with 1 cm of compost (or sow singly in 7 cm pots). Keep moist at 10–15 °C.
Planting Out
Gradually acclimatise seedlings to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out, spacing 45 cm apart. Keep well watered in dry spells.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds thinly in a shallow, pre-watered row. Lightly cover with soil and keep moist until seedlings are established. Thin to 10 cm apart.
Transplanting
When seedlings have produced about 4 true leaves, transplant to final cropping positions, leaving 45 cm between plants in rows 60 cm apart. Firm in and water well during dry weather.

Use netting to prevent damage from Cabbage White Butterfly.
