Unwins Cauliflower Clapton F1 Seeds produce distinctive and attractive heads with a truly delicious flavour. With heavy and dense white curds, it's an excellent variety to grow. It grows fairly compact, so it's ideal for small spaces.

Sow: Feb to May and Oct
Harvest: Jul to Oct
Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module tray with seed compost, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually and cover with 1 cm of compost (or sow singly in 7 cm pots). Keep moist at 10–15 °C.
Planting Out
Once established, gradually accustom young plants to outdoor conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out in spring, spacing 45 cm apart. Keep well watered in dry spells.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly in a shallow, pre-watered row. Lightly cover with soil and keep moist until seedlings are established. Thin to 10 cm apart.
Transplanting
When seedlings have about four true leaves, transplant to final cropping positions, spacing 45 cm apart in rows 60 cm apart. Firm in and water well during dry weather.
Aftercare
Use netting to protect from cabbage white butterfly damage.
