Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly, 1 cm deep, directly in the final harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times and protect from frost. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 10 cm apart.
Transplanting
When seedlings have produced four true leaves, transplant them to their cropping position, spacing 45 cm between plants in rows 45 cm apart. Firm in well and water regularly during dry spells.
Growing On
Keep soil moist and weed-free to encourage tender, succulent growth.

Use netting to protect from cabbage white butterfly and other pests.
