A charming addition to informal or wild gardens. Both the leaves and flowers are edible, offering a mild cucumber flavour. Perfect for adding colour and culinary interest.

Sowing
Rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered soil, lightly covering with a little more soil. Sowings in semi-circular lines create a natural ‘drift’ effect. Keep moist until seedlings appear and water as required in dry spells.
Growing On / Thinning
When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them to allow proper development and prevent overcrowding.
Aftercare / Advice
Both the flowers and leaves of borage are edible.
