Unwins Round Beetroot Gourmet Mix Seeds produces a colourful mix of different beetroot varieties. This multi-coloured blend is easy to grow, ideal for your first introduction to growing beets.
You can eat this mix of beetroot raw, roasted or boiled, and can either eat the beets as baby beets or leave them to mature as larger beets. They are slow to bolt, making them ideal for beginners.

Harvest: Jul to Oct
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds thinly, direct into the required harvest position, 2.5 cm deep. Keep soil moist at all times to prevent roots from becoming dry and woody. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 10 cm apart.
Growing On
Use thinnings in baby leaf salads. Protect crops from frost or cold wind with fleece.
Aftercare
Beetroot can be lifted and stored in sand; ensure they are kept frost-free.
