Unwins Aster China Mixed Seeds produce old-fashioned, single flowers in a beautiful array of colours, including red, pink, purple and white. This long-flowering cottage garden favourite is ideal for a sunny border and brilliant for cutting for impressive bouquets around the house.
Unwins Aster China Mixed Seeds are half-hardy annuals and are sown indoors in early spring for a summer full of blooms.

Sow: February to April
Flowering: July to October
Sowing Indoors:
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth (15–20°C) and keep moist.
Growing On:
Keep seedlings in a light position, shading from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost, or individually in small pots.
Hardening Off / Planting Out:
Gradually acclimatise seedlings to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks and plant out when danger of frost has passed. Space plants 30 cm apart.
Advice:
Plants may need additional support as they grow, especially in exposed sites.
