API White Spot Cure 118ml - Fast-Acting Ich Treatment for Freshwater & Saltwater Aquarium Fish

API White Spot Cure is a fast-acting liquid aquarium treatment that rids fish of Ich (white spot), cryptocaryon and other highly contagious parasitic diseases. It usually kills the Ich parasite within 24 hours and adds a protective slime coat for extra protection. It is safe for use in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Ich is a protozoan parasite that burrows into the gill and skin tissue of fish. This causes electrolyte loss and gill damage, and can lead to secondary bacterial or fungal infections. Early signs include fish darting around the tank, scratching against gravel and ornaments, laboured breathing, and hovering near the surface, filters or aeration. White spots may not always be visible, so treat at the first sign of trouble.

Directions for use:

1. Remove activated carbon from the filter and continue aeration.
2. Add 5ml per 20 litres of aquarium water, using the dosing cap on the bottle.
3. Repeat the dose after 48 hours.
4. Wait a further 48 hours, then change 25% of the aquarium water and add fresh activated carbon.
5. Treatment can be hastened by raising the water temperature to 27°C.

Important: Corals and invertebrates may be sensitive to this medication. Not recommended for reef aquariums or any tank containing invertebrates. Always follow the directions on the pack.
