What is the best food to feed a bird?
The best food to feed a bird usually consists of a good blend of seeds, corn and grains. Look for a bird seed that contains plenty of flaked maize, sunflower seeds and millet to attract a wide variety of birds. In the colder months, we also recommend adding suet balls to your feeder to provide birds with a more hearty, fatty food source.

Is suet better than bird seed?
Suet is recommended as a more efficient food to give birds than seed alone as it does not fall to the ground as easily. Suet sticks to its form in the feeder until bird comes along to peck some off to eat. Whereas bird seed can easily fall to the ground due to wind or other birds landing on the feeder, therefore Suet produces less waste, meaning you won't have to refill your bird feeder as often.

What is the best birdseed to attract the most birds?
Black oil sunflower seed appears to be the most popular at attracting birds. When choosing a bird seed blend to encourage more birds to your garden, we suggest choosing a seed that has a mix of sunflower seeds, millet, and cracked corn, as these are the most popular for birds to eat.
